Privacy policy
This policy explains what we collect when you use Tindra, why we collect it, and how long we keep it.
Who we are
Tindra is operated from Copenhagen, Denmark. We are the data controller for host accounts and the data processor for the media your guests upload.
What we collect
Host accounts: name, email and payment reference. Events: the event name, date and design. Guest uploads: the photos and videos themselves, plus an optional display name. We strip GPS data from photos on upload. Photos are stripped of location data in your browser before they are sent. Videos are stored exactly as recorded — we cannot remove location data from a video file.
Why we collect it
To run your event page, to deliver your gallery, to take payment and to comply with accounting law. We do not sell data and we do not use guest media to train anything.
How long we keep it
Guest media is deleted 30 days after the event date, or at the end of any extension you have bought. Account and invoice data is kept as long as bookkeeping law requires.
Where it is stored
On servers in the European Union (Frankfurt). Sub-processors are listed on request and are bound by data processing agreements.
Your rights
You can download everything we hold on you, or delete your account and all its data, straight from Settings → Privacy & data — both happen automatically, no support ticket needed. The export arrives by email as a PDF and a JSON file. Deletion waits 48 hours before it runs, so a mistake is always reversible, and you can cancel from the email or by signing in.
What survives deletion
One exception: your purchase records. Danish bookkeeping law requires us to keep transaction records for about five years, which GDPR Art. 17(3)(b) permits. We keep those rows anonymised — the amount, date and payment reference stay, your name, email and account link are stripped. We never store card numbers; those live with Stripe.
Printing partner
If you order a printed photo book, we share the photos in that book and your delivery address with our print partner Gelato, solely so they can produce and ship your book. They act as our sub-processor, may not use your photos for anything else, and are bound by a data processing agreement.
